For characters this means they come out big headed, where focus is on the face and the body is trimmed to its essential properties.”
I like the modern take on primitive styles, and the incorporation of some geometric pattern/linework… and colors are quite nice too.

Part of an new body of work that extends to Gladstone Gallery’s 24th St. location as well, the installation is a magically poetic reference to many religious traditions, from Japanese Kami beliefs or Stonehenge worship sites to Judeo-Christian as well as Muslim practices in which rocks were embellished to embody a myriad of spiritual notions.”
